Testimonials

“EBFP helps ensure that I can feed my kids healthy foods. Without EBFP’s Food for Kids program my children certainly would not have access to so many nutritious items.”

“EBFP has helped me as a single mom of two children. I work part-time and attend school to improve my career prospects so that my children can have a better future. Thank you to EBFP for all of the needed food support that you have given my family.”

“EBFP helped me when my family didn’t have any food or anything at all. Thanks to EBFP we were able to get food and get back on our feet. We are so happy due to EBFP’s help.”-10 year-old EBFP client

“I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the volunteers at EBFP. The fact that they come here to help folks like me is amazing.”

“The food pantry helps us get important nutrition from fruits and veggies, so that we can be healthy.”-Child client at EBFP

“EBFP has been a huge help to my family over the years.  I first learned about EBFP through volunteering here when the place opened in 2009. Since then I’ve become a client and I’ve seen EBFP evolve.  I’m really comfortable here, which is why I don’t mind helping out as a Portuguese translator between other clients and staff. The reality is that without the Food for Kids program, my nine-year old grandson would not have access to so many healthy foods. The money that I can save on food as an EBFP client, allows me to purchase other essentials for my family at the thrift store. For example, my nine-year old grandson is growing like a weed and thanks to EBFP I can afford to buy him clothes” –S.C.

“I really appreciate that EBFP offers recipe cards near the produce on Fresh Fridays. Last month I didn’t know how to cook the Swiss chard that EBFP offered, but now I do thanks to a recipe for Swiss chard hash. The best part is that even my kids ate the Swiss chard due to this great recipe. Thanks to EBFP for helping my family learn to love a new vegetable.” –A.W.
